We thought you might like to see some more of the images and video clips we took while photographing for the book. We spent many cold days in the field waiting for those special moments. Each night we would turn to the weather channel with great expectations. The announcement of an approaching storm found us setting out our camera gear and filling our pockets with film, nuts and seeds.
A drop in the barometer could bring a perfect packing snow. This made it possible for us to build our snowman several times that winter. Depending on the conditions, the stranger would sometimes be a proper well-rounded figure. Other times he stubbornly insisted on being svelte . . . and then there were some days when he looked more like Jay Leno. |
